Terms of service
By installing or using LumensOS you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, please uninstall the extension.
The service
LumensOS adjusts the colours of web pages on your device. A free plan is available permanently. LumensOS Pro is an optional paid subscription that unlocks additional features described on our pricing page.
LumensOS Pro Tester is a separate optional monthly subscription that includes everything in Pro and adds accessibility auditing: in one click it runs a battery of automated checks against WCAG 2.2 on a page you choose, marks the problems it finds, and produces a report you can print, export and share. Every install can generate 3 reports free of charge; Pro Tester removes that limit. It is a testing aid. Automated testing finds only some accessibility failures: a report from LumensOS Pro Tester is not a statement or certificate that a website conforms to WCAG or any law, and you remain responsible for how you use its results. The free trial includes Pro, not Pro Tester.
Accounts and saved reports
An account is optional and is never needed to use the extension or to run an audit. If you create one, you sign in with a one-time code sent to your email. You may save audit reports to it, share a report by a link that anyone holding the link can open until it expires or you switch it off, and delete any report or the whole account at any time. Only share a report if you are entitled to share the findings and the page address it contains. Free accounts keep up to 5 saved reports and Pro Tester accounts up to 200. We may delete an account that has not been used for two years.
Free trial
New installs receive LumensOS Pro for 6 months without payment details. The trial does not automatically renew or charge you. When it ends, dark mode and other Pro features turn off. Colour-vision tools and contrast support remain free. You can choose to subscribe to keep Pro.
Subscriptions and billing
- Pro is billed in advance, monthly or yearly, and Pro Tester monthly, until canceled. Prices are shown before purchase and exclude taxes where applicable.
- The subscription renews automatically at the end of each period using the payment method you provided, until you cancel.
- You can cancel at any time from Manage billing in the extension. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the period you have paid for; Pro remains available until then.
- If a payment fails, the payment processor will retry it for a short period before the subscription ends.
- One subscription may be used on up to three browsers. Sharing a licence beyond that is not permitted.
- We may change prices with advance notice; a change applies from your next renewal.
Refunds
See the refund policy. Statutory consumer rights that cannot be excluded are not affected.
Acceptable use
Do not reverse-engineer or circumvent the licence checks, resell access, or use the service to interfere with websites or other people’s devices.
Websites and third parties
LumensOS changes only how pages are displayed to you. We do not control third-party websites and cannot guarantee that every page will render perfectly. LumensOS is a personal display tool: it does not make a website conform to any accessibility standard or law, and must not be represented as doing so.
Disclaimer and liability
The service is provided “as is”, without warranties of any kind to the extent permitted by law. To the extent permitted by law, our total liability to you for any claim is limited to the amount you paid for Pro in the 12 months before the claim. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law.
Changes and termination
We may update these terms; continued use after an update means you accept it. You may stop using LumensOS at any time. We may suspend a licence that is used in breach of these terms or has been refunded or disputed.
